Saturday 8 June 2024 – 2.00pm sharp till approximately 5.00pm
Sunday 9 June 2024 – 1.00pm sharp till approximately 5.00pm
Pickup & Drop Off:
60 Ramsay Street, Toowoomba
Entry:
$30.00 per student
Deadline:
Thursday 6 June at 5.00pm
Rounds
There will be 6 or 7 rounds depending on entries.
- Three on Saturday
- Three or four on Sunday
25 minutes each + 3 seconds per move
Prizes
- 1st place: $150 + Trophy
- 2nd place: $100 + Trophy
- 3rd Place: $75 + Trophy
- 4th Place: $50 + Trophy
- Oustanding Female Achievement Award – Trophy
- Oustanding Male Achievement Award – Trophy
- Year 7 Awards: 1st and 2nd place trophies
(NOTE: only 1 prize per person)
Requirements
- This is a Queensland Junior Rated tournament.
- 2 half point byes available in rounds 1 – 5 upon request. Please SMS request to Sam on 0482 076 811.
- Open to all secondary school students (Years 7 to 12) from around the Toowoomba District.
- No food or drink is to be provided so please bring your own food and drink with you.
- School supervisors are not required and school uniforms are not compulsory.
- Parents/Guardians are responsible for the care and supervision of their children/players over the duration of the tournament. See Tournament Participation Rules.
- Cash prizes will be paid via bank transfer after the event.
Photographs
General photographs of the playing venue and the children (as a whole) playing will be taken on the day by the Toowoomba Chess Club and may be added to our website or Facebook Page.
